Italy is planning to buy 1300 drones from Baykar/Piaggio, donating all army units with 100 drones each.
According to portaldifesa.it, Baykar will use some of Leonardo’s tools and sensor in its prouction.
Baykar Tech, Türkiye’s and world’s biggest drone manufacturer, had acquired Italian aviation company Piaggio several months ago. The procurement is expected to be lucrative with Italian army’s likely order.
