Irony: France doesn’t even donate Ukraine but wants to send troops, analysts say

France’s Macron has been making a series of statements about sending troops to Ukraine to fight against Russia. An act seen as involvement of NATO into the war, Macron’s desire was mostly unwelcomed by allies.

However, Russian intelligence officials claim that France is in preparation for sending 2000 soldiers. Officials added that French soldiers will be the first to target by the Russian army. While Russian claims were denied by the French government, the French chief of staff Pierre Schill said they are ready to head to Ukraine in case Macron orders.

Analysts criticize France’s attitude regarding deployment of foreign troops. While Paris wants to send troops to Ukraine, it does not help Ukraine enough fiscally, they say. Below map indicates that France donated only $20 million to Ukraine while Germany, which is against sending troops, donated $420 million. This irony shows how France behaves unrealistic, analysts add.
