Turkish opposition in tears after losing elections

After president Erdoğan won in the runoff elections, the disappointment of supporters of the opposition became viral in Türkiye.

A video shows how a young girl cries in subway when pro-Erdoğan supporters got into the train.

In addition, an intern MD said she doesn’t want to treat veiled women and added that she will polarize against pious people.

A staunch pro-opposition journalist was in tears while explaining how people cried in CHP’s HQs after the defeat.

Analysts say that Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, his campaign organizers, poll companies and opposition media convinced people that the opposition candidate would win with a landslide victory but when the result was otherwise, people got heavily shocked.

Election results also showed that social media is illusive about elections, analysts add. Turkish social media is dominated by the opposition. Pro-Kılıçdaroğlu influencers and celebrities created an environment in which victory was inevitable for Kılıçdaroğlu but it only increased his supporters’ pain after the defeat.
