Türkiye’s paid influencers mislead people for elections

Turkish opposition is believed to be more influential in social media though not in classical media. There are so many self-defined journalists conducting interviews in streets and sharing them in their social media accounts. Majority of them are under the payroll of CHP-controlled municipalities.

Their only duty is to promote and propagate opposition parties for upcoming elections. Since they are pro-opposition, they only  compile interviews made with pro-opposition people, and publish them.

How they play with perceptions of people was revealed by a twitter account. There two videos in below tweet. In the first video, all people interviewed say they will vote for opposition’s candidate Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu. Yet, the second video, the longer version, shows that majority of interviewees opted for Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Though people are disturbed by waste of state money by influencers, no action has been taken yet.
