Turkish Defense Minister Yaşar Güler has made some statements about the latest develoments in Turkish defense industry.
Güler said;
“The recent agreements with Spain for HÜRJET and with Indonesia for the National Combat Aircraft (KAAN), the sale of the AKHİSAR Offshore Patrol Vessel to Romania as part of the first combat vessel export to a NATO and EU member country, and the commencement of serial production of our Altay tank clearly demonstrate our country’s progress in these areas.
Again, on 29 November, our Bayraktar KIZILELMA Unmanned Combat Aircraft, using the ASELSAN-produced MURAD AESA radar, successfully destroyed an aerial target in the Black Sea using the GÖKDOĞAN Beyond Visual Range Air-to-Air Missile developed by Tübitak-Sage, achieving a world first and causing a huge stir around the world.
There is intense demand from friendly and allied countries regarding KAAN, HÜRJET, and KIZILELMA.”
