Indonesia will buy 48 units of Kaan, Türkiye’s 5th generation fighter which is in testing process now.
A sales agreement is expected to be signed between TUSAS and Indonesian Defense Ministry in IndoDefence exhibition today.
Indonesia will be the first country ordering Kaan jets even before Turkiye. The far eastern had withdrawn from South Korea’s Boramae project recently.
Besides Indonesia, Pakistan and Azerbaijan are seriously thinking of joining Kaan project and perhaps already joined.
