A CIA document dated January 16, 1978 shows that Israel was not established by the UN decision.
The document says;
“The propaganda foundation upon which Israel’s
house of cards has been built is that the
United Nations created Israel. When that lie
is repeated again and again and eventuaily
accepted as truth, apologists for Israel can
successfuliy appear righteous, especially
with the generous cooperation given to Israeli propagandists by the. American
press.
The fact is that the U.N. vote in 1947 was
nonbinding. The fact is that Israel created
itself while sighting down the barrel of the
gun. But the myth of U.N. creation has been
repeated so often that even high-school.
textbooks have picked it up and repeated
it. This “big lie” technique has been used
very effectively to stand the truth on its
head, making the Arabs look like agressors
and Israel beleaguered defender.”

According to the document, everyone believes a lie propagated by Israel and countries, especially the U.S., bases its Middle Eastern policies on this lie.
