Kurdish mothers challenge the PKK, ask their children

Some Kurdish mothers have been conducting a sit-in protest in front of HDP’s Diyarbakır office for last 1000 days.  The number of families participating the protest have reached 299 in the course of time.

They are asking the PKK to send their children back. Mothers/families claim that their children were deceived by HDP, PKK’s political offshoot,  and pro-HDP NGOs. The age of those kidnapped ranges between 13 and 17.

More than 30 militants have escaped from the terror group after learning that their families are waiting them in Diyarbakır. The influential protest is expected to continue as it encourages more families to participate and more militants to flee from the PKK. Some militants have also contacted their families from YPG-controlled areas in Syria, proving that they fight for YPG.

The fact that Western media rarely mentions  mothers’ protest has got enormous criticism from anti-PKK Kurdish people. Media’s silence is assumed as a support to the terrorist organization and Turkey hatred.
