Turkish army test-fires a balistic missile

Turkish army has test-fired yet another balistic missile from Tayfun missile family, produced by state-owned Roketsan. While which type was tested was not disclosed, military analysts estimate it was Tayfun Block 2.

The brand new missile reportedly flied 310 miles for not range but target precision purposes.

While previous tests were conducted by Roketsan, the posted video shows that the latest test was carried out by the army.

A test for Tayfun Block 4 hypersonic missile is also expected to be conducted in upcoming days.

Turkish government has accelerated armament recently due to mounting regional threats. Besides missiles, it has put new weapons into inventory, including warships, drones, air defense missiles and munitions.

Turkish army will also receive 3 units of its first locally produced tank Altay.

Besides indigenous weapons, Türkiye is also striving for renewing its fighter fleet. Ankara is negotiating to buy second hand Eurofighter Typhoons from Oman and Qatar while will soon give an order for brand new version of the type.
