Dr. Eray Güçlüer, President of the Eurasian Strategic Studies Center (ASAM), spoke about Turkey’s hidden strength in defense technologies on TVNET’s live broadcast. When asked “Does Turkey have systems that can detect stealth aircraft?” Güçlüer gave a noteworthy answer and emphasized that he was sharing undisclosed information for the first time.
Dr. Eray Güçlüer stated:
“I will reveal something that has not been disclosed in Turkey. Israel can strike any desired country in the Middle East—except Turkey. Imagine you are in a Middle Eastern country. You live with the fear of when a bomb might fall on your head or when Israel might strike. But thank God, we do not have this fear. Everyone knows everything, but no one speaks about it. Turkey is the only country that can detect so-called stealth aircraft.”
Güçlüer gave examples of critical defense technologies in Turkey, highlighting projects developed particularly by ASELSAN:
“ASELSAN KORAL, in the KORAL 1 phase, had a range of 200 kilometers. KORAL 2 extended this range to 400 kilometers. This is an electronic attack weapon. Within a radius of 400 kilometers, if Turkey does not want it, they cannot even light a bulb.”
He also touched on the advanced stage of radar technologies:
“ASELSAN Alp 300 G was developed, which then evolved into Alp 500 G. Since Alp 500 G has a range of 750 kilometers, we can now say: We can see every object from 750 kilometers. We can identify an F-35 at 650 kilometers. The distance between Hatay and Tel Aviv is 400 kilometers. This means someone, a state intelligence, foresaw these times and prepared Turkey for today.”
Güçlüer emphasized that Turkey’s regional security is ensured with these strategic defense technologies, concluding his remarks as follows:
“If there is a person in the Middle East who is anxious today and it’s not me, then a big thank you, respect, and love go to the strategic mind that brought Turkey to this point, especially to the President, the Defense Industry Presidency, and all the components, workers, and stakeholders who built the defense ecosystem.”
