Türkiye added 223 milyon barrels of oil to its reserves in last 3 years

Türkiye added 223 milyon barrels of oil to its reserves in last 3 years, Energy Minister Fatih Dönmez said.

The amount is equal to Türkiye’s more than 4 years consumption. Dönmez added that they produce 65.000 barrels of oil per day, meaning that almost half of country’s oil need is supplied by Turkish wells.

Turkish Energy Ministry has accelerated its oil and gas explorations in recent years and found satisfactory reserves. They found 650 billion cbm gas only in the Black Sea. Exploration process has started in the Mediterranean Sea, too.
