Türkiye and Bulgaria ink deal for the sale of 1.5 billion m3 gas annually

Türkiye and Bulgaria has inked a deal for the transfer of 1.5 billion m3 natural gas to the latter annually. The contract will continue for next 13 years.

As Türkiye has not enough gas reserves for export, it will supply the gas from its LNG storages.

Türkiye is trying to be a gas hub through buying the gas from countries like Russia, Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan and sell it to European countries.

The deal with Bulgaria is the first sales contract in context of this goal.
