Türkiye hopeful to find 6 billion barrels oil reserve in Diyarbakır city

Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar said, “According to the evaluations made, we think that there is a reserve of 6 billion barrels in the region. With today’s figures, we are talking about a value of 420 billion dollars.”

Minister continued “We are exploring for oil with the fracturing method in 4 fields in Diyarbakır with a US company. We are looking for oil, which we believe to be in the rocks, by both drilling and fracturing. We will use this technology in these fields. According to the evaluations made, we think that there is a reserve of 6 billion barrels in Diyarbakır. With today’s figures, we are talking about a value of 420 billion dollars.
