Türkiye ignites its first turbofan engine TF6000

Turkish state-owned engine company TEI, a subsidiary of TUSAŞ, has ignited its first ever turbofan engine TF6000. The engine produces 6000 lbs thrust and can boost it to 10.000 lbs with an afterburner.

TF6000 will power Kızılelma and Anka 3, Türkiye’s two jet-powered drones. It will also be used as the prototype for KAAN fighter’s engine, which will be the larger size of TF6000 with 35.000 lbs thrust.
