Türkiye has officially entered the era of hypersonic rocket technology with the successful test of the HİSTEP platform, developed by DeltaV under SSB.
During the launch from Sinop, the rocket surpassed 200 km altitude, crossing into space, and achieved speeds of over Mach 5. For the first time in Türkiye, the hot stage separation method was successfully applied, marking a breakthrough in two-stage rocket systems.
DeltaV General Manager Dr. Mehmet Kahraman stated that the second stage ignited while still attached to the first, separated successfully, and accelerated further to reach hypersonic velocity — a historic milestone for Türkiye’s defense and space technology.
