Türkiye’s aviation engine producer TEI, a subsidiary of TUSAŞ, has unveiled the mock up of its biggest turbofan engine TEI-TF6000. The company said it is ready for prototype production. The engine’s design was completed in 2 years.
The engine will be able to produce 6,000lbf of dry thrust and 10,000lbf of reheat. It will be the first Türkiye-made turbofan engine.
TEI-TF6000 is expected to be used by Baykar’s Kızılelma, an UCAV with turbofan engine.
