EXPLANATIONS

The main revision of the National Accounts System, announced on 2 February 2024, was implemented in line with the Harmonised European Revision Policy to reflect improvements in the system. Explanations regarding the revision, current data sources, and methodological information on the impact of these studies on the national accounts system are provided in Table 9 of the Press Release. In addition, the GDP series prior to the revision are presented in Table 8.

Since unadjusted data of GDP in current prices and Chain Linked GDP Volume Index were revised, “calendar adjusted”, “seasonal adjusted” and ” calendar and seasonal adjusted” data were also revised until 1995. Detailed explanations are included in the calendar and seasonal adjusted metadata document of GDP.

In order to ensure a clearer understanding of the scope of the GHI sector, which was referred to as “Services” in previous publications, the expression “Trade, transportation, accommodation and food services”  has been used for this activity group.
