Ursula Haverbeck sentenced again for denying holocaust

Ursula Haverbeck, who denies that Jewish holocaust did not happen, was sentenced to 16 months in prison by a Hamburg court.

Convicted many times for the same reason in the past, the 95-year old German woman insists that Auschwitz was not a concentration  but a working camp. Haverback was working as an accountant in the camp at that time.

The decision to sentence Haverback was protested by human rights defenders. Activists say that none can be sentenced just because he/she thinks different than everyone, which is a violation of free speech.

Despite that sources of claims about holocaust are only Jewish origin, countries like Germany abandon free speech when it comes to counter allegations about holocaust, making free speech selective as per subjects, activists claim.

Germany also unconditionally supports Israel’s genocide in Gaza. Human rights defenders do not expect Germany to convict those denying Gazan genocide or cut relations with Israel, which continues to kill people in Gaza.
