Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s Indonesia visit ended with lucrative deals. Both countries signed 11 contracts which include procurement of defense products.
The biggest deal was reportedly between Baykar Tech and Indonesian government. As per the contract, Indonesia will buy 60 sets (360 units) of Bayraktar TB3 and 9 sets (36 units) of Bayraktar Akıncı drones from Baykar. The total price of drones is estimated to be above $1 billion. Baykar will produce drones together with its Indonesian partner.
Indonesia will use drones for reconnaissance of its vast lands consisting of thousands of islands.
