Turkey sells combat drones to Poland for $270 million

Turkey and Poland sealed a deal for the sale of Bayraktar combat drones. Equipped with Turkish munitions, Turkish drones will cost around $270 million to Poland. The deal was signed between presidents of Turkey and Poland when Polish president Duda was on a three-day visit to Turkey.

Bayraktar TB drones were previously sold to Ukraine, Libya, Azerbaijan and Qatar. Poland will be the first NATO member to buy Turkish drones. Bayraktar drones gained prominence when it successfully destroyed armed vehicles and Russia-made Pantsir missiles in Syria, Libya and Karabakh. Besides Bayraktars, Karayel of Vestel and Anka of TAI were bought by Saudi Arabia and Tunisia respectively.  More Turkish drones are expected to be bought by foreign customers.
