Turkish arms exports at full speed

Turkish defense companies continue to make sales agreements with foreign buyers.

TUSAŞ/TAI CEO Temel Kotil has disclosed that their second customer for Hürkuş aircraft will be Chad. Hürkuş was previously sold to Niger. Kotil also revealed that Nigeria will buy 6 ATAK helicopters, thus being the second customer after Philippines.


Türkiye’s ambassador to Bangladesh Mustafa Turan has also announced that Bangladeshi army will be the new customer to Bayraktar TB2 drones, produced by Baykar Tech.

In addition, Indonesia is negotiating for buying or co-producing UCAV munitions from Türkiye.

Meanwhile, new products are introduced and delivered by Turkish companies. Roketsan has announced that it has delivered 8 km range Sungur MANPADs to Turkish army. With this range, Sungur can hit a target out of vision and become the best among its equivalents.

More exports are expected in upcoming months, enabling Turkish companies to catch  $4 billion worth export target.
