Türkiye’s gas reserves may be revised up to 700 billion cbm

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has today said he will give good news about gas reserves found in the Black Sea.

Straturka has asked energy experts about Erdoğan’s statement. One expert reminded that Energy Minister Fatih Dönmez had already hinted that the reserves found in the Black Sea may be revised up.

Another expert said Turkish Energy Ministry had got the reserves measured to a foreign independent company recently. So, the reserves will probably renewed as 700 billion cbm. The current officially announced reserves are 540 billion cbm.
