Hürjet in the sky for the first time

Türkiye’s first light attack and training aircraft Hürjet has made its maiden flight today. The test was conducted in Ankara.

When in service, it will be the first Türkiye-made jet. Powered with an American engine, Hürjet can be equipped with a 1.5-ton payload of weapons.


Besides Turkish air forces, many countries have shown their interest in the aircraft. Particularly, African countries are expected to buy it thanks to its quality and price.
