More Evangelicals believe that Jesus is not God

Ligonier Ministries and LifeWay Research partnered to find out what Americans believe about God, salvation, ethics, and the Bible. Among other findings, the research, conducted in 2022, shows that there is a significant increase in evangelicals who deny Jesus’ divinity. Such a belief is contrary to Scripture, which affirms from beginning to end that Jesus is indeed God (John 1:1; 8:58Rom. 9:5Heb. 1:1-4).

According to a poll conducted in 2020, 30% of Evangelicals believed that Jesus was not God. The percentage rose to 43% in 2022. There is an evident trend indicating that Christians no longer believe that Jesus was God.

Islam also denies that he was God. According to Islamic faith, Jesus was a prophet who was risen to the sky by the God and will re-ground before doomsday.
