PKK accepts to lay down arms

In response to terrorist leader Öcalan’s call for the top cadres of the PKK terrorist organization to “dissolve the organization”, Mustafa Karasu, a member of the so-called KCK Executive Council, said “there will be dissolution and laying down arms, there is no doubt”.

Developments are taking place one after another in the ‘Turkey without terror’ process that started after MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli’s call to terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan to disband the organization on October 22.

Following Bahçeli’s historic call, Öcalan asked the terrorist organization PKK to lay down arms and dissolve itself by going to a congress after his meeting with the İmralı delegation on February 27.

While the call from İmralı remains on the agenda, all eyes turned to Qandil, where the top cadre of the organization is located, and the response to the call.

Speaking about Abdullah Öcalan’s message, Mustafa Karasu, a PKK ringleader and member of the so-called KCK Executive Council, said: “We will realize the dissolution of the PKK and the end of the armed struggle. No one should have any hesitation about this.”

Karasu said, “The PKK is a leadership movement. The leadership determined the PKK’s policy and ideology. Today we are followers and followers of the leadership. We will realize the transformation set forth by the leadership, the dissolution of the PKK and the end of the armed struggle. No one should have any doubts,” he said, announcing that they had decided to go to a congress following Öcalan’s call.
