Spain may be interested in KAAN after Hürjet

Recently, an agreement was signed between TAI, AIRBUS and the Spanish Ministry of Defense, paving the way for the sale of HÜRJET to Spain and signing a memorandum of understanding for joint infrastructure production. According to information from Spanish experts, defense industry agreements between the two countries will not be limited to HÜRJET. Potentially, Spain could also buy KAAN and unmanned aerial vehicles.
Jaime Perez Guerra, an experienced defense and aerospace expert and journalist who has worked on projects for the Spanish Ministry of Defence and Airbus, told TRT Haber that Turkey is an indispensable partner for Europe, and also touched on future work.
“There will be a series of very important developments for both Spain and Turkey. We can say that HÜRJET is the cornerstone of this. But the industries of both countries will find ways of cooperation in many other areas. For example, unmanned aerial vehicles, for example KAAN. We are at the beginning of a new era. The development of the Turkish defense industry in recent years is really impressive. Turkey will be an indispensable partner for Europe.”
