Türkiye’s fight against inflation finally bears its fruits. Annual inflation has plunged to 33.52% in July, marking a 2% decrease from last month.
Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek had said they will lower CPI below 30% by year end. Analysts say minister’ commitment will most probably come true.
Turkish government has been pursuing a tight monetary policy since the beginning Erdoğan’s second term, from when Şimşek took the control of economy.
