Turkish drones continue to hunt Pantsir missile systems

Turkish drones shot yet another Russia-made Pantsir surface-to-air missile system in Libya on May 12. Given by the UAE to warlord Haftar’s militants, Pantsirs have been deployed to down GNA’s air forces. However, they have been useless against Turkish drones.

Turkey’s Bayraktar and Anka UAVs had first encountered Pantsirs in Idlib operation in February.  Armed drones destroyed a dozen of Russia’s short-range missile system during the operation, causing suspicions about the effectivity of Pantsirs. Analysts say new shots by Turkish drones might ruin the image of Russian missiles while at the same time increasing the  reputation of the former.
