Turkish people sad for Italian journalist Mancini’s death

The death of Italian journalist Giuseppe Mancini has deeply saddened many Turkish people, particularly his followers.
Mancini was a cancer patient for a long time. He died in Rome after his body didn’t respond to treatments.

From politicians to bureaucrats, many Turks wrote their condolences to his family after learning his passing.



Mancini lived in Istanbul for 10 years, a long period enabling him to know Turkish people and culture. Acting like a cultural ambassador of Turkey, Mancini got sympathy and love from Turkish people. Besides tackling with prejudices and smear campaigns against Turkey, he also fought Islamophobia.

May his soul rest in peace.
