President of the Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB), Haluk Görgün, stated in a post on his social media account that the Turkish defense and aerospace industry continued its upward trend in April, noting: “In April 2026, exports amounted to USD 962 million, and during the January–April period this figure reached USD 2.871 billion, a 28 % increase compared to the same period last year.”
Görgün emphasized that despite increasing global competition and uncertainties, this performance reflects the strong high‑value‑added production capabilities, field‑proven systems, and sustainable export strategies of the sector. He added:
“In line with the vision set by our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, our defense and aerospace industry is steadfastly continuing its technology‑focused growth. With expanding international collaborations, a deepening ecosystem, and increasing production capacity, we aim to further advance our export performance. We thank the SSB personnel, our defense industry companies, and all stakeholders.”
