Türkiye to launch a new military operation in Syria

President Erdogan has said Turkish army will launch a new military operation in northern Syria, targeting YPG.

Erdogan said “We are beginning to take steps to handle the unfinished part of the work we started to create safe zones at a depth of 30 KM along our southern borders.

As soon as the Turkish Armed Forces, intelligence, and security forces completes their preparations, these operations will start. We will take our decisions on this issue at the NSC to be held on Thursday.

The areas that stand as the main center of attacks, harassment, and traps against our country and our safe zones are at the top of our operational priority.”

The operation will also test Sweden and other NATO members’ reaction.
